Summer Arts Scholarship Benefit

Help raise scholarship funds for CSU Summer Arts students and enjoy an evening of Dance and Video Theatre with Fresno’s own Holophrastic Kinesics at the Rogue Performance Festival 2006

Dance, Video, and a Great Cause come together as Conceptual martial artist Cheryl Kershaw and edupreneurial trickster Kenneth Balint present “Moving words - Speaking images: Unforeseen discoveries”.

CSU Summer Arts is a non-profit organization, and community support is vital to our existence and our ability to provide a meaningful experience for our students.
California State University Summer Arts students, faculty, artists, and audiences from diverse cultural communities come together to explore connections, develop new modes
of communication, and engage in the creative process.

Student Scholarships are vital to the success of Summer Arts. Over 80% of CSU Summer Arts student participants receive scholarship assistance, due in part to private donations and sponsorship as well as support from all CSU campuses. Student enrollment fees range from $750 - $950 per student, not including room and board.

This special benefit performance will be held at Dianna’s Studio, 826 North Fulton just south of Olive in the Tower district on March 4th at 5:30pm. Tickets are $7.00.

Other HKD&V Theatre performances at the Rogue this year include March 5th at 8:30pm, March 10th at 5:30pm, and March 11 at 7:00pm.

Take a dance and technology risk as we honor tradition while reconfiguring current boundaries of creativity.

Can you imagine words and images as though they were the same medium or bodies in space, danger, and risk as beauty or even dance as linguistic punning? We can, and you will!

Lend us a hand in our juggling act of image-text combinations, movement, and space/time transformation. Experience our multiple narratives along with art's inherent artificiality if you dare.

Performance dates are 3-4 (Special scholarship benefit for the 2006 CSU Summer Arts Program), 3-5 at 8:30pm, 3-10 at 5:30pm, and 3-11 at 7:00pm.

All performances are $7 and are located at Dianna's Studio on North Fulton just south of Olive in the Tower district.
